A Screenberry media server helped create spectacular projection mapping at the first Best Fashion Awards (BFA) ceremony.
The event was a milestone not only for Ukraine’s fashion community but also for its event industry. The occasion featured large scale indoor 3D mapping on ceiling and walls of the historic ‘Mystetskyi Arsenal’ art exhibition center. It was one of the most massive video mapping shows Ukraine has ever seen and definitely the first one of this kind to be projected indoors.
The interior of ‘Mystetskyi Arsenal’ has quite an intricate surface for 3D mapping. The building was constructed in 1801 as an armory. It is the first piece of classical architecture in Kyiv. Its grand arched vaults, pillars, walls, and ceiling were transformed into a single 900 sq.m. display for projections.
3D mapping specialist Front Pictures employed 7 x Christie Roadster S+20k projectors driven by a single Screenberry media server to map customized video content onto the surface.
BFA is the most prestigious accolade in the Ukrainian fashion industry. The award was founded by Ukrainian Fashion Week and ‘Zefir’ magazine in 2010. Its main aim is to objectively identify and present leaders of Ukrainian fashion to the national and international fashion community.
