Super Bowl LVII goes big on projection mapping with Screenberry

Super Bowl LVII took architectural projection to the next level in Arizona's capital. In the run-up to the big game, what had been branding wraps during the day transformed into captivating projection mapping spectacles at dusk. To animate these immense displays at all three venues—State Farm Stadium, Arizona Center, and the WeWork Building—bluemedia and Omnispace turned to Screenberry media servers.

The primary location was State Farm Stadium, featuring a record breaking 4,645 sq.m (50,000-square-foot) logo wrap. Here, a single Screenberry server was employed to run 24 Barco UDX-4K32 projectors, set up as 12 double stacks on two towers. The captivating projection show in 8K resolution ran from sunset until 6 a.m. This giant display was visible from miles away, featuring iconic Arizona landmarks, interspersed with highlights from the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles games and peppered with impressive 3D mapping effects.

Another location was the One Arizona Center. Here, Screenberry helped illuminate a 21x43 meter (840x1684 feet) vinyl wrap, transforming the static poster into a dynamic 3D display observable from all over downtown due to the height of the building. The projection setup involved one Screenberry media server aligning and running 8 x Panasonic PT-RZ31K projectors.

Located just across the block, the WeWork Building showcased a vast vinyl wrap, which was brought to life with video projections, enchanting visitors in downtown Phoenix with the onset of dusk. The setup here consisted of one Screenberry media server aligning 12 Barco HDF-W30 projectors and delivering video in a 3704х3088 resolution.
